Cagrilintide

Cagrilintide is a synthetic long-acting peptide analog of the hormone amylin. Amylin is co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic β-cells and plays a role in satiety signaling, gastric emptying, and glucose regulation.

In preclinical and clinical studies, Cagrilintide has been shown to activate amylin and calcitonin receptors, resulting in reduced food intake and delayed gastric emptying.
