Selank

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the naturally occurring tetrapeptide tuftsin, a fragment of the immunoglobulin G (IgG) heavy chain. It was designed to combine nootropic and anxiolytic research properties with potential immunomodulatory effects, making it a unique tool for central nervous system and immune system studies.

In preclinical and limited clinical research, Selank has been reported to modulate GABAergic signaling, increase expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and influence monoamine metabolism (including serotonin and dopamine pathways).
